Deep beam - Non-linear calculation with equivalent reinforcement of a linear calculation

The following image shows a **comparison of the calculation of a deep beam** between a linear calculation and a non-linear calculation, where the **reinforcement considered has been calculated taking into account the linear calculation**.

As you can see, the non-linear calculation, when considering the reinforcement obtained from the linear calculation, closely approximates the linear result. Some differences can be observed due to:

- The Youngs modulus in the linear calculation is that of concrete, whereas in the non-linear calculation, it is that of steel, and the section considered is the total in the linear case and the steel section in the non-linear calculation. This leads to a slight reduction in stiffness in the cracked part.

- This change in stiffness results in a variation of the tensioned block, which forces a significant increase in compression forces in a smaller block.
